thank you so so much everyone for a fabulous 2015! It sounds crazy but this lil insta/blog project kept me sane through my mum’s cancer. taking things one scone (and an Instagram post) at a time was absolutely the way to do this year, and amongst some very sad bits there were also many more incredible and wonderful ones. Bring on 2016.
Just before our big Christmas dinner, we all charged down the hill (some cartwheeling, some on their new sledges) to have sparklers in the woods.
this time last year we were wondering whether mum would be out of the hospital for Christmas, today I’m in the US and struggling to thread gingerbread elephants into a garland – isn’t life funny. I had tea yday with an amazing lady who lost her son a couple of weeks ago and she goes to me- ‘You just gotta keep rolling with it.’ – and she’s completely right. Have a festive and tranquil time this holiday, and don’t forget carpe diem this Christmas.
but really just being distracted by the view
sharing a bubble waffle with my Counsellor-In-Training partner, Brianna, just like we used to share pints of Ben and Jerry’s on trip days at summer camp
